A new BSA course aimed at PG students or professionals who are keen to explore and gain hands on experience of communicating archaeology to a wide audience. This one-week residential course will draw on experts from the British School at Athens and collaborators in the Benaki, Agora, Canellopoulos Museum and will use on site teaching and tasks to highlight inclusivity and best practice in communicating archaeology. We will meet with writers, journalists and museum professionals, podcasters & graphic artists to discuss their process in communicating archaeology.
The course fee is £625. This includes BSA one-month membership, housing, breakfast, meals as specified in the program, required travel within Greece, museum and site fees, one-year museum pass, one-month 24h access to the BSA library. Not included are: international airfare to and from Greece and meals not included in the program. Incidental expenses are the participant’s responsibility.
A number of BSA-administered bursaries are available for students, which will be assigned on the basis of merit and need.
The course is directed by Rebecca Sweetman (Director of the BSA), and Tulsi Parikh (A.G. Leventis Fellow in Hellenic Studies), and is limited to 12 places.
